Shauncho Slouch Crochet Pattern

Shauncho in his original slouchy hat

Shauncho in his original slouchy hat

Three years ago our friend Shaun in West Virginia was having a birthday. He just seemed like a guy that really needed a slouchy hat, so I came up with this fun, easy pattern to fit his fun, easy going personality.

I have updated the pattern to add another size, and made it easier to read. If you prefer a PDF version you may purchase it in our Ravelry shop for $1. It will always be free on the blog, but I know I like having a nice, clean PDF to add to my files.. It prints on 2 short pages, and omits all the tutorial photos to save trees and ink.

Let's get started.

I used some of the first hand spun yarn I made. The tiny hanks made such beautiful hats for Aurora and I, I'm super happy with the results. Since it was hand spun the WPI varied, but it fell within the worsted weight range in multiple spots, so I feel confident any worsted weight will do for the pattern as written.
